Lindsay Newsome, Farmers Market Coordinator

Lindsay NewsomeLindsay graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville where she majored in Environmental Studies and minored in Biology. She has worked for the National Park Service, on farms and in plant nurseries. She was employed at Across-the-Way Productions for 5 years as the Vendor Coordinator and for 2 years as the Partner Relations Director where she enjoyed marketing, organizing and community relations. Lindsay is an herbalist, a doula, and an environmental activist. She is an avid birder and gardener who is passionate about organic food and living well. She lives near Buffalo Mountain with her lovely family.

Alison Wroblewski, Office and Communications Coordinator

Alison WroblewskiAfter living in Texas most of her life, Alison and her husband traveled the world and lived overseas for a few years. With little desire to move back to the Texan heat, they relocated to Floyd, VA to homestead and find a peaceful spot to build a home.

Alison has worked primarily in project management, networking, and social media in various industries and wants to give back to her new community. Food awareness/waste and local outreach are big issues and goals for her to work in and contribute toward. Alison lives in Check with her husband, garden, and two cats, Honey and Mung Bean.

Jodie Norton, Bookkeeper

Jodie NortonJodie has been a Floyd transplant since 1991 and is the mother of six and grandmother of one. She graduated from Bowling Green State University in Northwestern Ohio with a BA in psychology, then studied accounting at Radford University. She has worked for many Floyd businesses over the years, including Wall Residences, The Harvest Moon and Crenshaw Lighting. She has been the bookkeeper for Sustain Floyd since 2010.
