Shooting Creek Farm is a husband- and wife-owned small farm that produces healthy local produce for the Floyd community. Caroline has been farming for 6 years at other farms, and this season decided to start her own operation. We sell through the Blacksburg Farmer’s Market on Saturdays, as well as direct to local customers. Our diverse array of fresh vegetables includes salad greens, tomatoes, potatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, peas, eggplant, garlic, onions, leeks, and more. We are beginning to grow fresh mushrooms as well. All our products are grown from non-GMO hybrids and heirloom seeds without the use of synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Our pest control and nutrient needs are met by using OMRI-approved products, crop rotations, and cover crops.
