SustainFloyd will present the exciting movie, “A Fierce Green Fire: The Battle for a Living Planet” this Saturday, November 9th at the Floyd Country Store. “A Fierce Green Fire,” narrated by Robert Redford, Ashley Judd and Meryl Streep, was the Official Selection of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. Everyone is also invited to enjoy a dessert bar first at 6 p.m. The riveting documentary, the first big-picture exploration of the environmental movement, will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The evening will be sponsored by the Association of Energy Conservation Professionals (AECP), a non-profit energy education and advocacy organization that believes people have the power to make better decisions and smarter choices in their home, business, and lifestyle that will save money, save energy, save on our natural resources, and help to preserve the environment.

“A Fierce Green Fire,” directed and written by Academy Award-nominated Mark Kitchell, has won acclaim at festivals around the world. The film focuses on activism: People fighting to save their homes, their lives, the future – and succeeding against all odds.
