Floyd Farmers Market during COVID-19
The Floyd Farmers Market is proud to serve our community during the COVID-19 crisis. We are following guidelines put in place by the state to insure that everyone remains safe while having access to local, fresh, healthy food from a vital network of farmers.
A few changes beginning this week, May 23rd–there will be no limit to the number of customers under the pavilion at this time, and a few more vendors will be joining us. We must still abide by social distancing guidelines, and allow six feet of distance between one other. All other “Covid-19 Market Manners” guidelines remain in place.
We will have vendors under the pavilion selling essential items, locally grown veggies, locally raised meat, freshly baked bread, and farm eggs.
Our EBT customers are valuable to us and we will still be offering SNAP Match tokens at our market table.
The Market will have one entrance and exit – both on Main Street. Please follow signage that will be in place on market day.

- Customers-please wear a face mask covering your nose and mouth
- All vendors are required to wear masks
- No pets allowed
- Keep 6 feet of space between people
- Please point and tell without touching
- Help yourself to hand sanitizer
- Bring your own shopping bag

Due to Covid-19, we are offering a pick up service through Floyd Food Hub. Products from our Floyd Farmers Market vendors will become available for preorder on Sundays and close on Thursdays at noon. Keep checking the site as products will continue to be added weekly.
Pickup for market preorders will be on Saturday, 9-1 under the pavilion.
History of the Farmers & Artisans Markets
Every community needs a place where its people can gather to share, learn and celebrate. Opened in May 2010, the Floyd Community Market is a 3,000 square-foot timber frame multi-use pavilion located in the center of town.
Our community market has become a vibrant meeting place with a weekly farmers market operated by SustainFloyd every Saturday from mid May to late November and a seasonal artisan market on Friday evenings operated by The Floyd Center for the Arts.
The markets connect consumers to locally grown produce and hand crafts. The pavilion also provides a stage for local music and community events, additional public parking for downtown Floyd during the week, and has hosted several festivals.
The Community Market has advanced two of our primary objectives: to help develop a local food system and to encourage the creative economy and local entrepreneurship. An excellent example of community collaboration, more than 40 people and many local companies provided assistance during construction. Designed by Streamline Timberworks, the logs were harvested by Draftwood Forest Products, a local horse logging company, and cut by Turman Lumber Co. Crenshaw Lighting provided the lighting and Professional Builders coordinated the construction.
