Why Donate?

By making a donation to Sustain Floyd, you help to support programs like these:

Food Programs

From our weekly Farmers Market, EBT Program and Farm to School Program to our Food Guide and Film Series, we’re helping folks in Floyd County eat healthier and keep their food dollars in Floyd!

Educational Programs

We all struggle to stay abreast of the latest developments and to understand the complex issues facing our planet and community. With our workshops and films, we help promote community dialog.

Natural Resources

Projects like the Blue Ridge Eco Fair, solar VoltzWagon, adopt a service tree program, and recycling initiatives highlight ways in which we can help to protect the beautiful natural resources of our county.

Blue Ridge Eco Fair

The Blue Ridge Eco Fair builds on the foundation established by our Floyd Energy Fest. The expanded event includes a wide range of presentations, activities and vendors relating to alternative energy and transportation, agriculture, small and tiny houses, reducing waste and pollutants, and the joy of a simpler lifestyle. Collectively, our community has an incredible amount of knowledge and experience in simple living, and we are creating a space and moment in time to share and build upon ideas and practices.

The current situation has made us very aware of the immense value of local foods and a strong food system, work that has always been a central part of our mission.

Your donations will provide funding for the continuation of the project, and support a public screening in the future, allowing the voices of our youth to be heard.
